MRS. CHARLOTTE
KENDALL.
The funeral of Mrs. Charlotte
Kendall, re-
lict of the late Henry
Kendall, the Australia-
tralian poet, took place yesterday afternoon
in the Church of England Cemetery, Wav-
erley. The procession proceeded by road
from the deceased lady's residence, Walaroi,
Whiting-street, Gore Hill, and Mrs.
Kendallwas buried alongside her late husband, and
beneath the monument erected to his memory
in 1887.
The principal mourners were Messrs. Fred-
erick Clarence
Kendall, Louis Frank Ken-
dall, and Atholstan
Kendall (sons), Miss Emily
Kendall (daughter), Mrs. F. C.
Kendall(daughter-in-law), and the Misses Adams.
The late Mrs.
Kendall's other daughter, Mrs.
V. Birch, is at present in England .
Others present included Messrs. A. Peake,
J. Wearne, and F. W. Rose (Public Works
Department), George Robertson and F. McCure
(Messrs. Angus and Robertson, Ltd.), Roderic
Quinn, S. B. Mitchell, George Fillinghame,
