John was born 15 Aug 1811 in Manchester, Lancashire, England and died 22 Jan 1865 at 37 Bent Street, Sydney. He was Superintendent of the Vaccine Institution and Surgeon to the Metropolitan Police. He married Charlotte Martin Carrwithin Strike on 8 Feb 1942 at the Superintendent Registrars Office in the District of St Botolphs in the City of London.
