KENDALL.
Former Police Inspector Thomas
Kendall,
whose death has occurred at his home in Rose
Bay, was 84 years of age. He was bom in
England in 1854 and arrived in Australia in
1876. He then joined the police force. After
five years in Narrabri and 17 years in Tam-
worth, he was in charge of the Stores De-
partment at the Bourke Street Depot. He
later became licensing and theatre inspector.
He retired from the Police Department 24
years ago.
He is survived by his widow, three daughters,
Mrs. W. E. Sweeney, Mrs. H. Wilson, and Mrs.
A. R. Garling, and three sons.
