CRESSWELL-
KENDALL.
On November 6 the Warren Methodist
Church was the scene of the marriage of Elsie
May, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.
C.
Kendall, of Grove-street, Marrickville, to
William Henry (late A.I.F.), son of Mr. and
Mrs. A. Cresswell, of Charlestown, Newcastle.
The Rev. R. S. Brown officiated. The bride,
who entered the church on the arm of her
father, wore a gown of white chiffon voile,
trimmed with Maltese lace and insertion. Her
wreath and hand-embroidered veil were lent
by her sister, Mrs. V. O. Cooper, of Lismore,
and she carried a bouquet of white carnations
and fern, which together with a diamond pen-
dant were the gifts of the bridegroom. The
bridesmaid, Miss Rosetta Cresswell, sister of
the bridegroom, was attired in white crepe
de Chine, with hat to match, and carried a
bouquet of pink carnations and fern. The
bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaid was a
silver-mounted toilet set. The bridegroom
was supported by Mr. L. Lucas. The bride's
gift to the bridegroom was a silver-mounted
set of military brushes. During the signing
of the register Miss Jean Field sang "Until."
The reception was held in the school-hall,
where the mother of the bride received the
guests, attired in black crepe de Chine, with
black hat relieved with white. She also
carried a posy of pink carnations. The bride-
groom's mother wore navy blue crepe de
Chine, with hat to match, and carried a posy
of pink gladiolas. Later Mr. and Mrs. W. H.
Cresswell left for Adelaide, where the honey-
moon is being spent, the bride travelling in a
mole crepe de Chine frock, with black hat re-
lieved with saxe blue.
