At enlistment in 1916 he had a scar on middle left shin, was 6’ tall, 160 lbs, black turning grey hair, blue eyes and fair complexion.
Died in Armidale Public Hospital of acute bronchitis on 23 June 1916, attending doctor: Stanley W Hogg. Death certified by Charles G Hobbes, brother-in-law, Moree. He was not married.
