Notes for Flight Sergeant Alfred Gordon Kendall R.A.A.F.
WEDDINGS
KENDALL— ROSENDAHL
A wedding of interest to R.A.A.F. and
Brisbane friends was solemnised in the
Central Presbyterian Church at 4.30 p.m.
on December 27th, when Vera Maud, eld-
est daughter of Mr. E. A. Rosendahl,
Sturt Street West, was married to Flight
Sergeant Alfred Gordon Kendall R.A.A.F.,
the Rev. Glasgow Denning officiating. To
the strains of the 'Wedding March' the
tall graceful bride entered the church on
the arm of her father who gave her away.
The classic simplicity of her beautiful
bridal gown was interpreted in snowy
white uncrushable satin. The tunic top
was offset by the gracefully hanging skirt
with short train and the only trimming
was the effective looped self cording. The
fingertip tulle veil was fastened to the
hair with two clusters of velvet daisies.
A sheath bouquet of Eucharist lilies,
stephanotis and frangipanni was carried.
The something old worn by the bride was
a gold heart and chain brought from
Scotland by her great grandmother, Mrs.
Reg Cruickshank, who attended her sister
as matron of honor, chose a floral Ameri-
can sheer in lavender and green tonings
made with a folded cummerbund dividing
a fully flared skirt and a plain square
high-necked bodice, topped by a tight
little floral hat. The groom, only son
of Mr. T. F. and the late Mrs. Kendall
was attended by Sergeant F. B. Perroux
as best man. Following the wedding, a
reception was held at the Oddfellows
Hall West End. where only relatives nnd
intimate friends were received by the
bride's mother.
