In her son’s (George Richard Kendall) Death Certificate, her name is recorded as Kitty Johnson. Johnson was also the maiden name of the informant’s, William James Kendall (Catherine’s grandson), other grandmother (Ellen Sarah Palmer’s mother). It is unlikely that her maiden name was Johnson.
In her daughter, Mary Jane Kendall’s birth certificate her age is given as 38, whilst her age at her other daughter’s birth is listed as 34 in 1860. This would make her either born in 1826 or 1829.
Also known as Kitty (shown as Kitty Johnson on Death Certificate for George Richard Kendall Ref No 1927/16494). This is incorrect. On her husband’s (George Kendall) death certificate she is recorded as Catherine Burgess.
