Marrickville. - Stolen, between the hours of 6 - 30 and 7.30 p.m., the 8th instant, from the residence of James R. Anderson, " Tarlo," Wardell - road, near Fraser - street, Marrickville, - A metal cashbox containing one £5 - note, £24 in gold, and two crown pieces; a lady's gold open - faced watch, with black ribbon guard and key attached; a gent's silver Waltham hunting watch; a green leather pocket-book, containing "In Memoriam" cards of late Dr. KENDALL; a lady's gold expanding spring-bangle; a lady's gold chain-bangle, with gold padlock attached; a lady's gold brooch, two bars, with ball at each end, set with a large opal; a lady's gold single bar brooch, like an agger set with an opal; a lady's gold flower - brooch, one pearl in centre; an alligator-skin purse, containing two A.J. Club tickets for this year; a lizard-skin purse, containing some silver; a lady's gold brooch, shape of wish-bone, "Merry Thought " in letters on it; three Post Office Savings Bank books in names of Mary Jago, Hilda Jago, and John S. Jago; marriage certificate of Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Jago, and a marriage license of John Jago and Mary KENDALL; total value, £40. Identifiable, except money. Suspicion attached to a man who called about 5.30 p.m. selling firewood. Description: - From 20 to 23 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet high, rather stout build, supposed clean shaved, may have small moustache, long neck, dark - brown hair; dressed in blue serge coat, faded green - colour tweed trousers, brown. hard hat. Can be identified by Mrs. Walsh, residing next door. The metal cashbox (minus contents) was found on the 9th instant in Fraser Street, Marrickville.
