"Orange Blossoms"
A very pretty wedding, evoking much interest, in Kiama took place at "Fernleigh," the residence of the bride's parents, on Wednesday afternoon last, when Miss Daisy ATKINSON (fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas ATKINSON) was united in the bonds of wedlock to Robert Wesley KENDALL (third surviving son of Mr. Thos. Kendall of Kiama). The ceremony was performed by Rev. E. N. MERRINGTON. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful dress of white silk, trimmed with accordeon pleated chiffon, frills and medallions, wreath and veil; she also wore a diamond and ruby ring, and carried a lovely shower bouquet, both being the gifts of the bridegroom. Miss Ethel Atkinson (youngest sister) was bridesmaid, and was nicely attired in a dress of French floral muslin (pink), trimmed with frills and twine valenciennes lace; she also wore a gold band ring and carried a beautiful bouquet, gifts from the bridegroom. Mr. Chas. BUCHAN, of Milton (nephew of the bridegroom), acted as best man. "The Voice that Breathed o'er Eden" was sung by the company assembled, the accompaniment being played by Miss M. PROTT, of Wollongong, who also played Mendellsohn's Wedding March.
